How long ago was this written? It's funny, because part of me wonders if I'm ever going to buy a hardcover novel again. My Kindle is just too convenient, and strangely enough the deeper and more complicated the work, the more I'm glad I'm reading it on a medium with a built-in dictionary. (I just had to look up what the heck an "ephemeris" was in January Dancer, for example. And all those bizarre Indian clothing terms...) Perhaps it's simple techno-fetishism, but I simply enjoy it more.
